Incline machine press is a weight training exercise which is a variation of the chest press, and is done using a weight machine with an adjustable incline bench. This exercise targets the upper chest muscles, along with the anterior deltoids and triceps. The angle of the incline bench can be adjusted to increase or decrease the difficulty of the exercise. The incline machine press is considered an isolation exercise as it mainly targets the upper chest muscles. To perform the incline machine press, the user should sit on the machine with their back pressed firmly against the bench. The feet should be flat on the floor and the handles of the machine should be grasped with an overhand grip. The user should then push the handles forward and upwards, while exhaling, until the arms are fully extended. The user should then inhale and slowly lower the handles back to the starting position, while keeping the elbows slightly bent.
